What We Do

Growing community to save seeds.

Native American Seed Sanctuary

In collaboration with the Indigenous Seed Keepers Network, the Mohawk community in Akwesasne, and Hudson Valley Farm Hub, the Native American Seed Sanctuary gives endangered sacred seeds sanctuary while supporting seed growing needs in their home community. Community Seed Support

Are you a seed saver without a community? Or a community without seed savers? Maybe you want to start a seed library. Or maybe your community already has an amazing, robust seed system, but you need a little extra support. Wherever you’re at with seeds, Seedshed can help. We’re developing a series of in-person and online listening sessions centered around topics like cultural seed networks, regional seed initiatives, BIPOC seed keepers, farmer seed cooperatives, queer botany, climate change and more.
